When your music is distributed through Wiseband, YouTube automatically creates a "Topic" channel to group your tracks on YouTube Music. This channel is generated by YouTube, and it cannot be removed manually.
However, this "Topic" channel is important because it allows you to request an Official Artist Channel (OAC).
How to turn my "Topic" channel into an Official Artist Channel (OAC) with Wiseband
To request an OAC via Wiseband, you must meet certain criteria set by YouTube:
- Have an active YouTube channel as an artist (with content related to your music activity).
- Distribute your music through Wiseband on YouTube Music.
- Have at least 3 official tracks published.
- Be the owner or manager of your personal YouTube channel.
If you meet these criteria, contact our team through Wiseband support. Provide:
- The link to your personal YouTube channel.
- Your artist name.
We will then handle the request with YouTube to merge your personal channel and the "Topic" channel into an OAC.
Why not remove the "Topic" channel right away?
The "Topic" channel is automatically created by YouTube and will remain active until you have an OAC. It ensures your music is available on YouTube Music and guarantees better visibility while waiting for your Official Artist Channel to be approved.
